Question: Hi! I was wondering, what troubles you about gays and lesbians?

Answer: Letters such as the one below from a beloved teenager do trouble me greatly:

"I know it’s supposed to be anonymous, but if you want to get in contact (if there is any hope), may name is _______ .

What do you do when you have tried all the suggestions for overcoming, but you just can’t seem to shake it? What do you do when you feel hopeless? What do you do when you feel rejected by your family? What do you do when you feel so discouraged that you never want to try again? What if you have tried counseling and it didn’t work? What if you have tried claiming Scripture and memorizing, but it seems futile? What if you want to live, but kill yourself at the same time? What if you already have attempted? What do you do when it’s all you can think about? How do you deal with being molested? How could I ever be changed and happy? I have tried everything."

With genuine love and compassion I reach out to the gay community and to all affected by the issue of homosexuality. In an effort to show them the blessed hope I have found for myself in Jesus Christ, I share my experience of inviting and allowing Him to truly be Lord and Master in all dimensions of my life.

Twenty-two years ago the Lord rescued me from homosexuality. Through much prayer, study of God’s Word, and guidance of the Holy Spirit, I was able to find strait answers to all my gay questions and walk away from my old life and into my new life in Christ.
